Due to the limitations on reopening our building for services, these online services will continue to be made available for the foreseeable future.
Daily Prayer is published here every day at 6am. You can sign up to receive it by email here. We also post this out as a booklet every week – please contact the church office if you would like to received this.
Reopening the Church Building
The PCC has decided to reopen the church building for a service at 10am every Sunday during September, as a trial. You can read more about it in this letter, sent recently to everyone in the Church Family Directory.
- Booking is required. Please call the church office during the week to book a place for that weekend’s service. If you haven’t booked, please don’t come as there won’t be space. Booking helps us limit space, and keep NHS Test & Trace records.
- Face-coverings are required. This is a legal requirement, and we don’t have any so you’ll need to bring your own – if you don’t have one I’m afraid you won’t be allowed to enter. (If you have a medical exemption please let us know when you book).
- We can safely fit only eight households in the building. Therefore we are giving priority to people who don’t have access to our online services.
- If you do have internet access, but still want to come, if you call the office you will be put on a waiting list. At the end of the week we’ll use that waiting list to fill the remaining spaces.
The services will be Morning Prayer (i.e. not Holy Communion), and at present no singing is allowed. The words will be on the screens. The toilet will be open (though the services will be necessarily very short). We are not able to offer any refreshments before or after the service.
The church is being cleaned weekly on a Thursday or Friday, in preparation for the service on Sunday morning. If you would like to help with the cleaning rota, please contact the church office.
